What to Expect in Somatic Intuitive Healing® (SIH) Sessions

An invitation to slow down, listen, and come home to yourself.

Every nervous system has its own story. Sessions unfold in a way that honors your unique experience, creating space to slow down, listen inward, and reconnect with your body.

Sessions may include guided breathing, meditation, mindful movement, and body awareness practices. These practices are invitations to become more present and connected to what is happening within you, moment by moment.

All practices are optional. Touch or contact is never required. Your body is yours, and your consent is at the center of our work together. You are encouraged to actively consent to any practice, and you may pause, adjust, or stop at any time during our session. You always have choice. The goal is to listen to what feels supportive rather than asking your body to go somewhere it doesn't feel safe to go. I am here to listen, support, and encourage what feels safe, working at a pace that honors you.

Following What Is Here

No two sessions are exactly alike.

Some days may call for movement, breath, or exploration. Other days may invite stillness, quiet, grounding, or simply being witnessed. We follow the wisdom of what is present rather than trying to force a particular outcome.

Practices may happen on or off the table, indoors or, seasonally, in nature.

What does “table work” mean?

Table work simply means practices that take place while you are resting comfortably on a massage-style table, fully clothed.

Depending on what feels supportive for you, table work may involve stillness, guided awareness, breath, or contact, when desired and explicitly consented to.

You may choose to remain fully off the table for any or all of your sessions.

What to Bring

Please arrive in socks and loose, comfortable clothing that allows you to move, breathe, rest, and feel at ease. I will do the same. :)

Indoor slippers for the office are encouraged, but not required.

Beyond that, you don't need to bring anything but yourself and a little curiosity.

If there is a small object that helps you feel at home, such as a stone, trinket, pillow, or something with personal meaning, you are welcome to bring it with you.

Location

Sessions take place in my office in NW Portland. The address will be sent to you once your session is booked.

Subsequent sessions: typically 90 minutes

You don't need to arrive with a plan or know exactly what you need.

Simply arrive as you are.

From there, we listen.
